Vitamin A palmitate is an ester of retinol and palmitic acid, which is enzymatically broken down into its components in the skin. It is present here in refined sunflower oil as an oily solution with a content of 175,000 IU/g. Vitamin A palmitate is particularly effective against wrinkles. It supports the skin's protective function, stimulates cell division, and increases skin elasticity. It is particularly ideal for use on extremely dry skin, but also on blemished skin.

By improving metabolic activity and skin regeneration, retinol promotes the skin's ability to bind moisture and contributes to the firmness and elasticity of the connective tissue.

Vitamin A palmitate is therefore recommended for mature, dry skin. However, it is also suitable for after-sun care.

Since retinol is sensitive to light and oxygen, even in the form of vitamin A palmitate in an emulsion, only small quantities should be produced, stored in a cool place, and used within a reasonable period of time. Formulations containing vitamin A are therefore not suitable for use in direct sunlight.
 
Please use vitamin A palmitate with caution. Due to its high effectiveness, overdoses and sensitive skin can cause redness/irritation. Due to the possible teratogenic effects of retinol, vitamin A palmitate should not be used in lip care products.
