Natrosol 250 HX is a non-ionic, Ecocert-certified hydrocolloid that can be used to formulate clear, viscous hydrogels. It is also suitable for stabilizing or thickening O/W emulsions. Natrosol 250 HX is first dispersed in alcohol or glycerol and then mixed with the appropriate amount of water while stirring. However, for formulations with surfactants, Natrosol 250 HX should be omitted and Xanthan Transparent should be used.
 
Use concentration: 
0.8-1.5% in hydrogels
0.2-0.5% in O/W emulsions
