The yellowish-reddish, clear wild rose oil is obtained by high-pressure extraction with natural swelling carbonic acid and is stabilized with rosemary antioxidants. It is rich in linoleic acid (41 - 59 %, C 18:2) alpha-linolenic acid (20 - 35 %, C 18:3) and oleic acid (12 - 22 %, C 18:1). It also contains traces of carotenoids and tocopherols. 
 
This high content of unsaturated fatty acids makes the oily extract of rosehip seeds highly recommended for brittle and flaky skin. Rosehip seed CO2 extract greatly contributes to skin regeneration and is used as a nourishing ingredient in moisturizers and anti-ageing products. It is also very appreciated for the care of scars.
