D-Panthenol 75 W, present as a 75% aqueous solution, is a synthetically produced precursor of the actual active ingredient D-pantothenic acid, vitamin B5. The transformation takes place in the body after the panthenol, also thanks to its high substantivity, has been absorbed into the skin or hair follicles. There the moisture-binding, skin-soothing, and wound-healing qualities unfold, which make panthenol a valuable component in the care of skin and hair. 
Since the clear, colorless to yellowish liquid is sensitive to heat, it is first stirred into the cooled finished emulsion. It is optimal for panthenol when the pH of the emulsion is adjusted between 5 and 7.Application
