Xanthan Transparent  Xanthan is an anionic, water-soluble hydrocolloid. The combination of its positive properties makes this gelling and film-forming agent indispensable for cosmetic formulations. Xanthan is stable across temperature ranges and freeze-thaw cycles; it tolerates high electrolyte levels and alcohol, and withstands significant pH fluctuations.  Furthermore, Xanthan is suitable for both hot- and cold-processed emulsions. It is highly skin-compatible and, as a film-forming polysaccharide, provides moisturizing and moisture-retaining benefits.  Xanthan Transparent can be used to create clear, transparent gels, thicken surfactant-based formulations, and stabilize emulsions. It can be incorporated in various ways: the powder can be dispersed into water heated to approx. 50°C while stirring, or a suitable amount of Xanthan Transparent can be placed in a vessel, wetted/dispersed with a small amount of alcohol or glycerin, and then combined with the required amount of water while stirring.  Usage concentration:  0.2 – 0.5% as a stabilizer in creams and lotions 0.8 – 1.0% in shampoos and shower gels 1.0 – 1.5% in gels
