Black cumin oil, which is used in folk medicine as a sort of “cure-all,” is extracted from the seeds of black cumin plants using high-pressure extraction with naturally occurring carbon dioxide. This oil contains no solvent residues, inorganic salts, or heavy metals. The black cumin oil is stabilized with rosemary antioxidant.
 
Its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal effects can be attributed to the unique combination of essential oil, polyunsaturated fatty acids, and other active ingredients. It contains approximately 45–65% linolenic acid, as well as about 1% of the rare eicosadienoic acid. In addition, it contains at least 2% essential oil, including at least 1% of the medically active compound thymochinone.
 
Black cumin oil is ideal for treating inflammatory skin conditions, particularly acne, psoriasis, or atopic dermatitis.
