Known as the base or heart note, rosewood oil (botan. name: Aniba roseodora) is obtained by steam distillation from the wood chips of the rosewood tree, which belongs to the laurel family. The natural, floral-woody scented essential oil is very well tolerated and harmonizes well with lavender, ylang-ylang, and citrus notes.
