This neutral oil is specifically produced by esterifying glycerol with the medium-chain fatty acids capric and caprylic acid. The colorless, low viscosity, and polar oil are markedly non-irritant, oxidatively stable, and highly spreadable. Neutral oil is therefore very suitable for improving the application and absorption behavior of formulations. Rich care products gain a certain lightness through neutral oil.
Thanks to its properties, neutral oil is a good base oil that is suitable for any skin condition. However, it is particularly suitable for sun protection applications and for sensitive skin. Its very good spreading ability predestines it for dispersing pigments.
