Highly dispersed silica consists of small trees made up of tiny silica dioxide spheres. These trees enable the inorganic gel former silica to form stable gels in both water and oils.
 
Since silica retains its flowability even when highly water-absorbent, it is also popular as a flow improver for powders. The fine, very light, and highly dusty powder is available in PP cans with additional sealing seals.
It is also used in oil gels (which are used as exfoliating products), in deodorant products, and in decorative cosmetics.

Please wear a face mask when processing! Otherwise, the fine silica particles can enter the lungs and cause inflammation. In bound form, silica is harmless.
