Highly dispersed silicic acid consists of small trees of tiny silicon dioxide beads. These beads enable silicic acid's inorganic gelling agent to form stable gels in both water and oils. Since silicic acid retains its flowability even in the case of high water absorption, it is also often used as a flow improver for powders (for example in table salt). The fine, very light, and highly dusting powder is offered in PP cans with an additional seal. 
 
Please use a mouth mask for processing! Otherwise, the fine silicic acid particles can get into the lungs and cause inflammation. In bound form, silicic acid is harmless.
