The yellow oil stabilized with rosemary antioxidant is viscous at room temperature. This fatty oil consists of at least 60% punicic acid (C 18:3), a conjugated linolenic acid. Furthermore, the extract contains tocopherols, sterols, and small amounts of squalene. In cosmetic products, it is used to promote skin regeneration, stimulate self-healing, improve skin elasticity, and prophylaxis against skin aging. The extract has strong anti-inflammatory, healing, soothing, and relaxing effects.
Due to these properties, it is recommended for irritated, dry, sensitive, and itchy skin conditions.
