The O/W emulsifier comes in the form of yellow pellets that are melted in the oil phase. O/W emulsions based on Emulsan II are compatible with urea, salts, and a pH range of 4 to 8. Emulsan II is ideally suited for moisturizers and formulations containing urea. The consistency and stability of the emulsion can be further controlled by adding co-emulsifiers such as glyceryl stearate, cetyl alcohol, or Lanette O (cetearyl alcohol). Emulsan II is 100% plant-based.
