Cetyl palmitate is a wax made from palmitic acid and cetyl alcohol. The wax, which is available as white pastilles, is also known as a spermaceti substitute and is a good alternative to beeswax as a consistency agent. Cetyl palmitate is oil soluble and is therefore melted in the fat phase.
