Biogard 221 – Natural broad-spectrum preservative for cosmetics


Biogard 221 (also known as Cosgard or Geogard 221) is a gentle but highly effective broad-spectrum preservative for natural and vegan cosmetics. The preservative is based on dehydroacetic acid and benzyl alcohol – ideal for formulations in the field of natural cosmetics.

Application
Biogard 221 is incorporated into the cooled, lukewarm phase of the formulation.
Ensure a pH value below 6.5, adjusting with lactic acid if necessary.
