Avocadin™ HU 25 – Phytosterol-rich active ingredient for dry and sensitive skin  Avocadin™ HU 25 is a high-quality cosmetic active ingredient based on refined avocado oil and avocado oil unsaponifiables. The unsaponifiable content is approximately 25%, consisting of about 70–80% phytosterols. Structurally, phytosterols resemble the skin's own lipids, making them particularly beneficial for the care of dry, sensitive, and stressed skin. Avocadin helps the skin retain moisture and leaves a pleasant, lipid-replenishing feel. Avocadin for natural cosmetics This lipophilic active ingredient forms a moisture-binding and lipid-replenishing film on the skin. This helps reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and supports the natural skin barrier. Avocadin is therefore particularly suitable for rich care formulations and products designed for dry and sensitive skin. This versatile active ingredient can be used in products such as face creams, body care, after-sun products, and care products for highly stressed skin. Application and dosage The recommended usage concentration is 0.5–2%. For particularly stressed skin, Avocadin can be used at concentrations of up to 10%. Avocadin is heat-stable. For processing, the active ingredient is first dissolved until clear in a stable oil (such as neutral oil) at temperatures up to 110°C. The solution is then added to the rest of the oil phase and emulsified together with the water phase.
