Amyris Oil / Natural Sandalwood Oil – Essential Oil from the West Indies
 
This amyris oil, also known as amyris sandalwood oil or sandalwood oil from the West Indies, is a 100% natural essential oil derived from the wood and roots of the Caribbean balsam tree (Amyris balsamifera). Due to its warm, woody-sweet, and long-lasting scent, amyris oil is often used as an alternative to the rare and significantly more expensive genuine sandalwood oil. The scent is somewhat reminiscent of cedarwood and develops as a heart and base note in perfume compositions.
