The wheat protein is a partial hydrolysate, which is enzymatically extracted from wheat proteins. The water-soluble hydrolysate is present as a powder. It is heat-sensitive and is stirred into the cooled emulsion only after emulsification.
 
As a good film former, wheat protein binds moisture very well and is characterized by its good substantivity. It forms a natural protective film on the skin and hair, thus also improving combing and styling properties.
 
It is mainly used in shampoos and hair conditioners. But it also makes a good impression in care products for dry and mature skin.
