The valuable oil from the seeds of the black currant is not only one of the natural oils with the highest content of gamma-linolenic acid (approx. 13 - 16 %) but also one of the few oils that also contain alpha-linolenic acid (approx. 8 - 18 %). Its extraordinary fatty acid spectrum is completed by the high content of linoleic acid (approx. 44 - 54 %) and the rare, anti-inflammatory stearidonic acid (approx. 2 - 4 %).
Rich in polyunsaturated essential fatty acids, vitamin E and cell-protecting flavonoids, the native, cold-pressed currant seed oil is considered a versatile active ingredient oil, which is particularly suitable for dry, mature, inflammatory, or (hyper-)sensitive skin conditions. But also impure, acne-prone skin benefits from this oil.
Application concentration:
1 - 5 %
in oil mixtures max. 10 %
Processing:
Stir into the cooled emulsion; in oil mixtures, it is recommended to mix the oil with oxidation-stable oils such as jojoba or marula oil.
